Attacking Rose Pests Safely For Great Blooms, What Judges Look For
Les Hayt, the dean of rose growers in southern Arizona with over 60 years of experience, will delve into the subject of safely terminating rose pests at the next Rose Society of Tucson meeting March 5.
Now that roses are vigorously growing, different problematic bugs will be attacking rose foliage and blooms especially with all the rain the Tucson area has received lately. Les will discuss a great product that kills these nagging pests so that you can enjoy a bounty of spectacular rose blooms this spring.
Plus, he will talk about what to fertilize for spectacular blooms and answer questions. Since the Tucson Rose Show is right around the corner on April 20, the long-time American Rose Society judge will also talk about what judges look for in prize-winning entries.
